Apex Legends Dive Trails Visibility Options Requested
Apex Legends fans are requesting Respawn Entertainment to introduce customization options for Dive Trails in Season 18 rather than remove them. The debate centers around the cosmetic item – which players can earn for achieving certain ranks in ranked play – and whether or not they’re too flashy and distracting.
“Dive trails are one of the most popular cosmetic items in the game, but there’s a vocal group of players who would rather not have them in their field of vision during a match,” the fan writes. “This group includes myself, and I think it would be a good compromise to offer some visibility options for them.”
Currently, Dive Trails are prominently displayed on a player’s character during matches, which some players find distracting. This proposal suggests that Respawn implement visibility options for the item, allowing players to choose whether or not they want them to be visible during matches.
“This solution would address the concerns of players who find Dive Trails visually distracting, while still allowing others to showcase their achievements,” the author continues. “To me, the most important part is that it would be entirely optional. Players who want to continue showing off their ranks could do so, while others who find them invasive would be free to shut them off.”
The proposal has gained significant traction on social media, with many players expressing their support for the idea. “I know a lot of people don’t like the dive trails, but why not just add an option for them to be turned off?” one player writes. “I’m all for making them invisible.”
Not everyone agrees, however; some players argue that removing Dive Trails entirely would devalue the hard work they put into achieving high ranks. Respawn has not yet responded to the fan proposal but has previously made changes to the game based on player feedback.
