TSM star ImperialHal calls for cash prizes in Apex Legends tournaments

The ever-popular TSM star ImperialHal shares his thoughts on Apex Legends tournament viewership, urging Respawn to take action to save the competitive scene. The TSM player expresses his concerns about the dwindling viewership in Apex Legends tournaments, and suggests that introducing cash incentives will help alleviate the issues plaguing the FPS game.

“I just want to point out the Fortnite Cash Cups,” he begins, “and how they’ve saved the competitive community of that game.” ImperialHal highlights how Fortnite’s Cash Cups have successfully attracted a large audience, and believes that the move saved the game’s competitive scene.

“I think we need to be doing something like this in Apex,” he continues. “I’m just concerned that the viewership is going down in these tournaments, and if we don’t do something to save the competitive scene it’s going to be dead pretty soon.” He emphasises the importance of cash incentives to motivate players and increase competition.

“I think this will make the scene more sustainable for the professionals,” he says, “and overall just bring back viewers.” He suggests implementing a similar system in Apex Legends to reignite interest in the game, and believes that the game has the potential to regain its popularity with the right incentives.

“I know that Apex has been struggling with a lot of things,” he says, “but I think if we introduce a system like this it’s going to help alleviate a lot of these issues.” ImperialHal acknowledges the challenges the game has faced, such as Apex Legends server issues and lack of updates, but believes that introducing cash prizes will help solve these problems.

“Fortnite had these problems too, but they were able to turn it around with the right incentive,” he adds. “It’s just a matter of Respawn taking action, and I think they can save the game.” He also mentions the positive impact of cash incentives on Fortnite’s competitive community.

“It’s just encouraging more people to participate and viewers to tune in and watch,” he says. “I think that’s what Apex needs right now. We need more people to play and more people to watch.” ImperialHal concludes by calling on Respawn to learn from Fortnite’s success and apply it to Apex Legends.

“I’m pretty positive about the future of the game if these changes are made,” he says. “It’s just a matter of Respawn taking action, and I think that’s what it takes to save Apex.”
