Apex Legends player cleverly uses Lifeline's Care Package traps to outsmart an entire enemy squad in one of the most hilarious moments in the FPS game.
Apex Legends is back, and there’s no sign that the ever-growing battle royale game is slowing down. Whether it’s the Apex Legends Season 2 rewards, the latest additions to the map, or the new characters, there’s always something fresh to discover in Respawn’s ever-evolving world. One Apex Legends player, however, found a new and sneaky way to use Lifeline’s abilities in a way that’s sure to inspire strategic thinking among the game’s players.
In a recent Apex Legends match, a player found a new way to use Lifeline’s Care Packages to their advantage – by creating a trap for an entire enemy squad. Typically, Lifeline’s ability is used to provide teammates with valuable supplies, but this player found a way to turn that around and use it against the enemy.
By strategically placing Lifeline’s Care Packages, the player managed to corner and trap an entire enemy squad in one of Apex Legends' many buildings. The hilarious situation forced the squad to stand still while one of their players tried to throw a smoke grenade from outside. This, however, proved unsuccessful, as the squad was unable to move far enough to escape the building.
It’s a moment that proves the importance of strategy and outsmarting your opponents in Apex Legends – and one that the player, who goes by the name ‘Xtreme’ on Twitter, is extremely proud of.
“I guess this was one of the most clutch plays of my life,” Xtreme says in the video caption. It’s easy to see why – the player’s trap not only gained the squad countless kills, but the video has also gained significant attention and praise from the gaming community.
It’s a reminder that, even in an established game like this, there are still plenty of unexpected ways you can be caught off guard. Check out the video below to see the Apex Legends squad’s predicament for yourself.
