Blasphemous 2 Sarmiento & Centella Rapiers

Blasphemous 2’s Sarmiento & Centella rapiers are the perfect choice for players looking to utilise a more reactive playstyle. These swords are fast and essential for making your way through the hellish world of Blasphemous 2’s story, as the PC game‘s wider range of weapons also allows you to reach new areas and platform around some areas. The design of Sarmiento & Centella also makes them the most logical choice to reach the next story objective, and skilled players can maximise their potential in combat.

Blasphemous 2’s rapiers are different from the rest of the swords in the game. While Sarmiento & Centella are quick, you don’t have the same attack range as other swords like the Acheron or Alastor. However, this is by design, as the pair of rapiers allow you to attack rapidly, as well as perform powerful ripostes.

You won’t be able to use Sarmiento & Centella right off the bat, however. In order to reach the City of the Blessed Name, you need to obtain the Ivy of Ascension, which allows you to ascend certain walls.

Once you’ve finally reached the Blessed City, you can climb the wall to the right of the chasm that leads to the Blasphemous 2 Sewers. Return to the Blessed City and climb the wall to the right of the chasm.

From here, head to the Grilles and Ruin area. This area has a wooden door that leads to the Palace of the Embroideries. Our directions can help you find the quickest route, but if you’re not sure where to go, we recommend checking out one of these guides for the Palace of the Embroideries.

You’ll also be able to obtain the Bell of Ascension, another item that aids with platforming. However, Sarmiento & Centella’s unique ability is much more interesting, as you can strike floating statues with mirrors in order to warp forward.

This ability helps you with platforming puzzles, especially ones that require you to hit switches on the other side of gaps. For example, if there’s a switch on one side of a platform and a door on the other, you can use the mirror to warp over there quickly, opening the door and letting you cross the gap.

The rapiers also look cool, and they’re better than any other weapon in the game. They’re better than all the others.
