Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC
Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC will introduce a new perk system, based on the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The DLC’s trailer showcased gameplay changes and new perks inspired by the anime, and we’ve gone through the footage to find out what they are.
While we know that Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.0 will overhaul the perk system, we’ve not yet seen what the new perks will look like. The Phantom Liberty trailer shows us that some of these new perks are based on the anime characters Rebecca, Lucy, and David.
The perk icons appear to represent these characters. Rebecca has an icon with a shotgun, Lucy has Monowires, and David has a major Technical Ability perk. However, we don’t know what these perks do, so we’ll have to wait until the launch of Cyberpunk 2077’s free update to find out.
In the meantime, we do know about one revealed perk. Called Edgerunners, it allows you to exceed Cyberware Capacity, but at the cost of your health. This might be in reference to Lucy’s hacking with monowires, or a playstyle that focuses more on combat.
