All Diablo 4 Mount Skills
Mounts in Diablo 4 serve a greater purpose than just transportation. They possess unique skills that can be invaluable during your adventures. To acquire these mount skills, you must fulfill certain prerequisites.
During our preview of Diablo 4, we had the opportunity to experience several mount skills. These additional abilities can significantly alter your playstyle. While you can only equip one mount skill at a time, you can still use your regular skills and passives, allowing for customization based on your preferred playstyle. Here are the Diablo 4 mount skills and how to unlock them:
Charge
The Charge skill allows your mount to perform a powerful dash attack, knocking back enemies and dealing massive damage. This skill can be acquired at any level, but first, you must complete the “Journeyman’s Boon” quest.
Head to the town of Ashmore, and speak with the chief’s assistant to initiate the quest. The chief is in pursuit of a dangerous creature within the nearby caves. Complete the quest, and return to the assistant to receive the Charge mount skill as a reward.
Leap
The Leap skill enables your mount to jump over obstacles and enemies. To unlock this skill, you must locate and complete a hidden challenge in a specific area.
With the Leap skill, your mount gains access to secret areas and platforms that would otherwise be unreachable. Once acquired, you can find upgrades for this skill within the same area.
Fire Breath
The Fire Breath skill allows your mount to unleash a fiery breath attack, causing continuous fire damage to foes. To acquire this skill, you must defeat a formidable boss and obtain a rare item drop. However, if you are unable to obtain the Fire Breath skill, there are alternative upgrades available.
Shadow Step
The Shadow Step mount skill grants your mount the ability to teleport short distances. This skill proves useful for quick escapes, especially during challenging situations. Unlocking this skill requires completing a series of demanding platforming challenges.
Frost Nova
The Frost Nova skill freezes enemies in place, providing you with a substantial advantage in battle. Unlocking this skill involves collecting rare magical artifacts scattered throughout the game world.
Poison Spit
The Poison Spit mount skill allows your mount to poison enemies, inflicting damage over time. To acquire this skill, you must complete a challenging questline involving poisonous creatures.
Healing Aura
The Healing Aura mount skill creates a restorative aura around your mount, offering health regeneration. Unlocking this skill requires gathering rare herbs and performing a ritual at a sacred location.
Storm Call
The Storm Call mount skill summons a potent lightning storm, damaging nearby enemies. To unlock this skill, you must defeat a group of formidable lightning-themed adversaries.
Spectral Form
The Spectral Form skill transforms your mount into a ghostly apparition, granting increased speed and evasion. To obtain this skill, you must complete a series of quests and puzzles related to the supernatural.
