A new character class could be on the way to Diablo 4
Looking for the latest on new Diablo 4 character classes? We've all heard the whispers. A Bard! An Amazon! A Demon Hunter! Maybe even a Witch Doctor? With the popularity of Diablo 4 continuing to soar and players yearning for more fresh strategies and gameplay options, the arrival of a new character class through DLC would be highly anticipated - and we've got all the latest on the potential additions.
Of course, a new character class wouldn't be the only thing arriving in the Diablo 4 free patches and DLC we've already seen. In fact, we already know for certain that one new character class is coming to Diablo 4 - the Wizard has already been confirmed. But a new class through DLC would be a whole new kettle of fish, and the speculation and rumours are already flying around the potential new character classes coming to Diablo 4.

There are a number of character classes already in Diablo 4, including the confirmed Wizard, and PC Game Spotlight explores the potential of all of them coming as DLC. These are the existing character classes in Diablo 4:
There's also a list of potential character classes that could be added in the future, including the Bard, Amazon, Assassin, Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor, Monk, Paladin, Crusader, and Blood Knight. It's unclear whether all of these will be added at some point (and the above list doesn't include every single class from previous games in the series), but we do know that Blizzard has additional classes in mind - whether that's a couple of these, or a whole set of these and other classes, we just don't know.
Diablo 4 new character class speculation
PC Game Spotlight speculates on the potential abilities and playstyles each potential new class would bring to the game if added as DLC. As mentioned above, we already know a Wizard is coming to Diablo 4 as a character class, so that's out of the mix.
It's also worth mentioning that, with so much speculation already out there around these potential classes, Blizzard may have additional classes in mind beyond those we've already mentioned - it wouldn't be a first for the developer to have cards up its sleeve.

With all these potential character classes for Diablo 4, the speculation is only going to continue. We already know that Diablo 4 season 2 is going to be huge, and the introduction of a new class via DLC would be a big leap towards increasing the replayability of the game even further. With more variety in strategies and gameplay, we can only hope that a balanced and well-designed character class system will be in place when any new class arrives.
