Diablo 4 Will Address the Gem System Issue

Since its launch, Diablo 4 has been receiving nothing but praise. However, there's one aspect of the action RPG that has sparked some concerns – the management of gems in the player's inventory. With an abundance of loot in the game, gems are found everywhere. But if players want to make the most of these one-time use jewels, their inventory quickly becomes clogged, making it impossible to equip items without worrying about gem-related issues.

The frustrating lack of a separate gem pouch or inventory space in Diablo 4 leads to cluttered inventories, rendering gems unusable. Many players have voiced their requests for a solution, but Blizzard has not addressed it until now.

During a recent Diablo 4 developer livestream, game director Joe Shely acknowledged the criticisms surrounding the gem system. He stated, "One of the things I'm most excited about is addressing this issue in the near future. We have a plan." This announcement was met with applause from the developers present.

Shely revealed that the plan revolves around moving gems to a separate space, most likely a materials or currency tab. This will allow players to craft gems using the new system, with the required materials stored in the designated tab.

While the exact timing for Diablo 4's second season has not been confirmed, based on previous seasons and content additions, it is expected to arrive in October. Similar to Diablo 3, seasons in Diablo 4 are likely to last around three months.
