Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey: How it Works and What Rewards You Can Earn

Want to know how the Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey works? The Season of the Malignant update is nearly here, and with it comes the first season for Diablo 4. Much like Diablo 3 seasons, the Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey is a set of activities you can complete for rewards and to progress your battle pass as you move through the season.

The Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey is currently only available on seasonal realms, so you won’t have it available when the game launches. However, it’s likely that it will eventually become available on the main Diablo 4 server when the developers give it a test run.

Seasonal Journey Rewards

The first season of the Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey focuses on using the corruption in Sanctuary’s monsters to our advantage. The rewards for completing the first chapter include a Scroll of Amnesia, which allows you to respec one of your skills. If you get to the point where you no longer want your skills set up the way you did during the beta or think you’re ready for a change, you now have the option to try something new.

How the Season Journey Works

The Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey is a checklist of activities. Much like Diablo 3 seasons, the Seasonal Journey has objectives you must complete to progress to the next chapter and earn rewards along the way. These can range from crafting items to completing dungeons.

While you can complete the objectives before you unlock the corresponding chapter, the rewards you get depend on how far you’ve progressed in the Season Journey. For example, if you craft the Season of the Malignant Enchanted Item before completing the corresponding chapter objective, you will not receive the related reward.

Diablo 4 Seasonal Journey Rewards

Each chapter offers rewards such as gear, crafting materials, Aspects, and consumables. You also earn Favors for completing the chapter’s objectives. Favors allow you to progress your battle pass, so you still need to complete activities in order to unlock additional pass rewards. Specific rewards for each chapter completion will be revealed when the season goes live.
