Here’s where to find the recipe, and how to use it in World Tiers to call upon the Echo of Varshan.
The Invoker of Varshan is just one of many recipes you can craft in Diablo 4. Call upon the help of powerful allies including the likes of the Tormented Invoker, or even the mighty Skeleton King himself using the Diablo 4 Beacon of the Dead recipe.
How to Obtain the Invoker of Varshan Recipe
You can obtain the recipe for the Invoker of Varshan from Cormond after defeating Varshan. You’ll need to complete a season-specific questline in order to obtain the recipe, which includes defeating Varshan multiple times using different methods.
You can use the Invoker to summon Varshan in any World Tier, but be aware that the rewards will be much better the higher World Tier you’re in. You’ll also need to craft an upgraded Invoker in order to summon Varshan in higher World Tiers.
Invoker of Varshan Location
You can obtain the Invoker of Varshan by using it to summon Varshan in a specific location. This is the same location where you’ll face Varshan in the seasonal questline, so you can obtain the recipe and upgrade it as you progress.
To summon Varshan, you’ll need to find a dungeon with Varshan’s boss door. The easiest place to do this is The Boiling Wound, as this is the easiest World Tier to reach during the seasonal campaign.
Invoker of Varshan Boss Fight
To use the Invoker of Varshan, you’ll need to find the boss door of the Echo of Varshan in the dungeon. Once you’re close to the door, use the Invoker to summon the Echo.
The Echo of Varshan is a weaker version of Varshan that you must defeat in order to obtain the stronger Foul Invoker. The Foul Invoker is the most powerful, but requires you to craft it using Nightmare Dungeon sigils. You can obtain the sigils by scrapping them from Nightmare Dungeon sigils, so your best bet is to farm the harder versions of Varshan in the higher World Tiers.
Once you have the stronger Invoker, you can craft the more powerful recipes by using Forgotten Souls and Fiends Roses from Helltide events.
How to Get the Tormented Invoker
The Tormented Invoker is a more powerful version of the standard Invoker and can summon the hardest boss of the Season of the Malignant, Varshan.
You’ll receive the Tormented Invoker recipe by defeating Varshan using the Foul Invoker. You’ll want to find this recipe after defeating the first Echo on Adventurer or Veteran World Tier, as the recipe has a low drop rate.
To craft the Tormented Invoker, you’ll need to obtain Sigil Powder from Nightmare Dungeon sigils. Since you’ll likely be farming Varshan in Torment World Tier, you won’t need to worry about obtaining the recipe until you’re ready to face the hardest boss in the game.
You’ll also need Forgotten Souls and Fiends Roses from Helltide events, so you may have to wait until you’re playing in the highest World Tier to obtain the more powerful Invoker.
