Need more Diablo 4 gold? The precious fantasy currency is an essential item in Diablo 4, where you can use it to refund skill points, apply Legendary Aspects and Enchanting gear, and even craft it if you run out. Eventually, you will find yourself short on gold. So if you need to continuously farm gold, here’s how you can do so in the action RPG game.
As always, be wary of hitting that sell button too often. Monster hunt and gathering resources are plentiful in Diablo 4, so it’s worth deciding if you’re going to sell all loot or salvaging Rare items and selling Magic ones.

The best way to farm gold to far beyond the normal cap is to sell every Rare (yellow) and Magic (blue) item that drops. From personal experience, this worked wonders for me, as I was able to buy multiple copies of keystone traits, skill points, and stack my stash full of Adventures and Helltide event Ancient Rewards.
Any activity that drops items is perfect for this. Farm Blackflame Woods for the Challenge: Corrupted Beasts event, take part in the Helltide events, or grab a friend and head into any of those activities for maximum item drops.
You can also simply head back to town and interact with the vendors to sell off all your loot by pressing Y on a vendor and going to the sell tab. This will let you keep track of how much you’ve earned.
The Tree of Whispers is also a fantastic way to earn a ton of items. While you can do the normal version of the dungeon and complete objectives to gain a ton of loot, doing the upgraded Nightmare versions will give even more items. There’s a catch, as you need to finish with less than half of your life left to get the max rewards, but it’s well worth it for extra gold.
Finally, collecting Grim Favors for the Tree will have you completing various activities that drop items. As with the Tree of Whispers quest objective, you can complete the normal version, but the upgraded one at the highest-level zones will give you a boatload of items.
Again, it’s important to head back to town frequently to sell off your loot. Although you may need it for item upgrading and skill points, always bear in mind that you won’t need as much gold if you’re not spending it all at the same time. As such, try to sell off half and keep the other half for salvaging.
That’s how to farm Diablo 4 gold for when you desperately need it. By the end of the game – and even earlier if you’re brave – you should have more than enough to keep track of, so don’t worry about having to sell items often. If you’re desperate for gold before then, though, we suggest sticking to the method listed above for a quick way to pile up the ‘jingle’. Now get back to killing Demons, you monster.
