Diablo 4 Brol fight tips
If you're struggling with the intense boss battle against Diablo 4's Brol, the ruthless leader of the cannibal barbarians, fear not - we've got you covered with some expert tips and tricks to emerge victorious.
Brol is notorious for being one of the toughest bosses in Diablo 4. The battle takes place inside the Temple of the Primes dungeon during Act Three's Descent into Flame Quest. This treacherous dungeon can be found in the volcanic Chambatar Ridge area, which you may already be familiar with from your explorations. To reach the dungeon, head to the Fate's Retreat Waypoint in the Dry Steppes and follow the trail that leads to the Ruins of Varrus.
When facing Brol, be prepared for a melee-focused boss who can quickly deplete your health if you're not careful. The fight takes place in the Altar of Sacrifice area of the Temple of the Primes dungeon, offering you ample space to evade his attacks.
Initially, Brol is more challenging than the previous boss, Mother's Judgment, due to his limited melee attacks and slow movement speed. However, as the battle progresses, he begins to summon barbarian enemies to aid him.
You need not worry about ranged attacks from Brol, as he primarily relies on three close-quarters moves. While his melee attacks are easily recognizable, be cautious of his charge attack - it is his most lethal move. The charge attack only triggers if you are in a straight line, making it difficult to anticipate. However, it can be evaded by sidestepping.
In the later stages of the fight, Brol will summon cannibal barbarians to assist him. These savage foes inflict substantial damage and impede your movement. To counter their attacks, equip defensive gear with skills that grant temporary invulnerability, such as the Necromancer's Blood Mist. This strategy enables you to focus on evading Brol's assaults rather than dealing with his minions.
As the battle intensifies, Brol unleashes a devastating area-of-effect (AoE) attack by slamming the ground with his swords. Be prepared to swiftly evade this attack. You have a few seconds to react, allowing you to dodge out of harm's way.
Brol's slam attack presents an opportunity to strike back, as his weapon is exposed when he slams the ground. Dodge his attack and swiftly retaliate to maximize the damage dealt during his brief vulnerability.
As Brol's health dwindles, he will summon more barbarian enemies to chase and stun you. Beware of becoming surrounded by these minions, as they deal significant damage and hinder your movement. Surprisingly, keeping Brol's minions alive can be a strategic move, as he is often forced to divert his attention away from you and focus on them.
As Brol's health decreases further, he becomes increasingly aggressive with his knockback attack. This attack instantly pushes you away, briefly stunning you. Stay alert and be ready to swiftly evade this move, as Brol can execute it without warning. Fortunately, the short stun duration allows you to quickly dodge away from danger.
During the later stages of the battle, Brol becomes even more aggressive, and his minions inflict greater damage. You will also reach a point where Brol's health is so low that he becomes nearly immune to damage. This is the perfect opportunity to utilize crowd control abilities to keep Brol at bay while you wait for your cooldowns to reset.
