Multiple Ways to Obtain Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4
Looking for the best way to get Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4? These sigils are essential if you want to unlock the elusive Nightmare Dungeons. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to obtain them.
The first way to get Nightmare Sigils is from Tree of Whispers reward caches, enemies inside Nightmare Dungeons, and World Bosses. However, it's important to note that you can only obtain them if you're at the right World Tier.
Once you reach World Tier 3 and unlock Nightmare Dungeons, it's recommended to clear Tree of Whispers objectives during the first few weeks to collect as many Nightmare Sigils as possible. As your character progresses, you'll accumulate Nightmare Sigils, although they may not be for the specific Dungeons or Tiers you want to run. In this case, it's advisable to take advantage of Nightmare Sigil Crafting and salvaging.
To craft Nightmare Sigils, head to the major towns and speak with the Occultist NPC. You can start the crafting process as early as World Tier 3. Crafting your own sigils requires Sigil Powder and gold, but it's considerably cheaper than buying them from a vendor.
There are two types of Nightmare Sigils that you can craft: Sacred and Ancestral. Sacred Nightmare Sigils provide Sigils for Tier 1-20 Dungeons, while Ancestral Nightmare Sigils provide Sigils for Tier 21-100 Dungeons.
The crafting cost for Nightmare Sigils increases as the Tier gets higher, so you'll need to save up gold and obtain more Sigil Powder. Fortunately, you can acquire Sigil Powder primarily through salvaging unwanted Nightmare Sigils. The amount of Sigil Powder you obtain from salvaging depends on the Nightmare Sigil's tier, with Ancestral Nightmare Sigils yielding the most. Additionally, you can also obtain Sigil Powder through random events in the open world and Legion Events.
