Preparing for Diablo 4 Season 4

Diablo 4's next season is just around the corner, and it's important to be prepared for the challenges and rewards that await. While it's uncertain if Lilith, the protagonist from the previous entry, Diablo 4, will be introduced in Season 4, there's a strong possibility of her emergence.

Diablo 4 seasons play a vital role in the game, so whether you've been away from Sanctuary for a while or are new to the game, now is the perfect time to jump in and get involved. Here are six tips to help you get ready for Diablo 4's Season of the Malignant.

Prepare for Diablo 4 Season 4 with these tips

The Season of the Malignant in Diablo 4 begins on July 20th. Start preparing now to hit the ground running when the new season arrives. If you have played previous seasons of Diablo 4, you can carry over some advantages to give yourself a head start.

For seasoned players:

Claim all the Altar bonuses

Altars of Lilith are collectibles that grant bonus power to your character. These bonuses carry over between seasons, so ensure you acquire all of them before the new season begins to give your character an edge.

Uncover the Sanctuary map

Uncovering the entire map of Sanctuary in Diablo 4 is not only convenient for finding events and rewards, but it also provides a source of Renown for your character. By claiming all the Altars of Lilith and uncovering the map, you'll start the season with the second tier of Renown rewards, making it easier to level up.

For new players:

Skip the Diablo 4 campaign

Beating the Diablo 4 campaign unlocks new leveling experiences for future characters, allowing you to skip the campaign on subsequent playthroughs. This lets you focus on other activities like unlocking Aspects, finding better gear, and completing world objectives. However, if you're starting a new character, playing through the campaign is a great way to familiarize yourself with objectives and find good XP dungeon farms.

Experiment with builds right before the new season

Diablo 4's Seasons are an excellent opportunity to try out new playstyles and builds. Experimenting with builds right before the new season begins is a great way to find a playstyle or build to start the Season of the Malignant with. Explore your stash and Codex of Power for interesting Legendary Aspects to create a unique build.

Get through the first 50 levels

Reaching level 50 in Diablo 4 can be time-consuming. If you're a veteran player and already have your sights set on the next level 50 Aspect, consider making a new character with a campaign skip to experience the leveling process again. This will allow you to familiarize yourself with objectives and find good XP dungeon farms.

Leveling a new character also gives you the chance to try out different classes and builds before the season starts. Jump into the Season of the Malignant with a build you're confident in and enjoy playing.
