A Diablo 4 Treasure Chest Causes Chaos
A treasure chest in Diablo 4 recently went on a rampage, spewing an endless amount of loot and causing the game to crash. The hilarious incident was captured in a video shared by a Reddit user, High-With-You.
In the video, clicking on the chest triggered a deluge of items pouring out, ranging from common to legendary rarities. The game slowed down under the weight of the loot until it ultimately crashed.
High-With-You humorously captioned the video, 'Treasure Goblins beware.' They compared the experience to a cash machine spitting out money, although they jokingly wished it had been a pachinko machine instead.
The incident occurred while High-With-You was attempting to complete the quest 'A Sodden Pact' in the Scosglen region. The treasure chest's generosity was overwhelming, as it seemed to possess an infinite supply of legendary and sacred items.
Despite being on World Tier 3, where item drops are less valuable than in World Tier 4, High-With-You managed to accumulate an impressive collection of unique items. Other players who joined in on the treasure chest frenzy also benefited from the glitch before the game crashed.
A similar bug recently occurred in Diablo 4, allowing a select group of players to obtain the game's rarest and most powerful items from Helltide chests. Blizzard promptly addressed the issue but decided to let players keep their acquired 'Uber Unique' items.
It's unclear if the treasure chest held any secrets, such as the elusive secret cow level. Regardless, this glitch provided a comedic and unexpected diversion for Diablo 4 players, even if it resulted in a mid-loot fest game crash.
