An Elden Ring player beats the Souls game without getting hit using an electric saxophone as a controller

An Elden Ring player has used a weird non-traditional controller to complete the Souls Game without taking a hit. We’re in a golden age of Souls gaming right now, with FromSoftware’s next game, Elden Ring, out for over a year. Players have found all manner of ways to complete the open-world game using truly bizarre peripherals, from dance mats to goldfish. But in that time, no one has achieved what Twitch streamer DrDeComposing has with Elden Ring, beating the game without being hit while using an electric saxophone as a controller.

In a clip shared to DrDeComposing’s Twitch, we see them speed through the game’s first boss, Radagaon of the Golden Order, and then straight onto the Elden Beast. DrDeComposing is also in the buff, which suggests they’re very familiar with Elden Ring. The clip ends with a shot of their final moments in the No-Hit run, showcasing their impressive speed and skill.

DrDeComposing claims to be the first person to accomplish this feat without getting hit by any attack, so kudos to them for that. However, many players have used decidedly strange controllers to make their way through the Souls games. From dance mats to goldfish, and even brainwave control – the challenge of using such a ridiculous peripheral seems to have become a competition between fans.

Elden Ring PvP shook by backstab update

In more Elden Ring news, the Souls game’s latest update has caused chaos in the PvP community.

The update brings back Dark Souls 3’s controversial frontstab backstab mechanic, which has received mixed reactions from fans. Some are concerned about a potential return of the backstab fishing meta, while others are just displeased with the janky animation that accompanies the backstabs.

FromSoftware’s infrequent updates suggest the change will remain in place for the time being. Elden Ring is one of the best open-world games, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated with all the latest news.
