The world's first no-hit run of Elden Ring with an electric saxophone
The world's first no-hit run of Elden Ring is here, and it's soundtracked by the soothing sounds of an electric saxophone. DrDeComposing, who's previously streamed the Souls game with a saxophone as a controller, completes the hitless doot run in Elden Ring in three hours without taking a single blow from enemies.
The DrDoom streaming alias previously achieved a no-hit run in Elden Ring, but that involved using a more conventional controller. However, this latest run is the first using a saxophone as the primary game controller.
Watching the stream, it's clear that the electric instrument isn't ideal for most of the game's combat. DrDeComposing manages some impressive combos but often struggles to execute precise attacks, leading to plenty of misses.
However, it does provide a calming soundtrack for the overall playthrough, which is also split across two separate streams. That said, the run does hit a snag when DrDeComposing accidentally disconnects from the internet during the run, causing a lengthy pause.
This is by no means the first time that DrDoom has streamed Elden Ring with the saxophone, but it's certainly the most impressive so far. You can watch previous streams of DrDeComposing playing games using the instrument on YouTube, if you're not satisfied by this latest internet trend.
Correction: This run was split across two streams, totaling three hours. We've updated the article accordingly.
