Elden Ring Larval Tears

Want to know where to find Elden Ring Larval Tears? These allow you to respec your stats, so if you made a mistake during character creation or find you don't need one of your stat points, you can reallocate them. To do so, you'll need to find one of these tears in the RPG game, which can be difficult, as they're limited in quantity.

The Elden Ring Larval Tears are just one type of item you can find in the action-adventure game. There are plenty of other items to discover, including weapons, rings, and potions. The process of using Larval Tears is simple, but you need to find one first. Thankfully, you do get one for free after completing one of Elden Ring's painting quests, but you'll need to explore the Open-world game to find more.

Elden Ring Larval Tears location

There are enemies in Elden Ring that transform upon defeat, rather than dying outright. These enemies drop a single tear each. We've included some examples below:

Some of these enemies are fairly weak, and transform into a stronger form. For example, the Wandering Noble in Limgrave is fairly easy to defeat, but upon defeat, transforms into a Runebear, who is much more formidable.

Other enemies are already formidable, but transform into a more powerful form. This Putrid Corpse in Mt. Gelmir is a good example, as it starts off strong and then transforms into Wormface, who is even stronger.

Elden Ring Larval Tear locations

There are plenty of Larval Tears to find in Elden Ring, but they're not particularly hard to miss. Some of the enemies that drop them upon defeat drop more than one, but they don't respawn, so you only get one chance to find them.

Most of these locations are pretty obvious, but here are some of the areas where you can find them:

Additionally, there are Silver Sphere enemies in Nokron and Nokstella, Eternal City that drop Larval Tears upon defeat. You only get one tear from these enemies and they won't respawn, so don't miss out. You can also find the Mimic Tear boss in Nokron, which drops two Larval Tears.

You can also purchase them from a vendor for 3,000 runes each.

There are also some Larval Tears that can be found as pick-ups in the world. You should have already received one from completing one of the painting quests, but you can still miss out on some. Completing one of Elden Ring's painting quests rewards you with a Larval Tear, but you need to find the Resurrection Painting and interact with the ghost in the graveyard north of Caria Manor.

Once you've defeated Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, you can use Larval Tears to respec your character by interacting with her. Each respec costs one Larval Tear, and you'll need to confirm your choices before they're consumed.
