Are you after the most powerful builds in Fallout 4? Aggressive damage dealers? Stealthy sneaks? We have heaps of builds to play around with in the best RPG game, but if you’re going for the strongest builds, you’ve come to the right place.

The best Fallout 4 build is:

The spoken word can have more of an impact than a Mini Nuke. While there are several ways to go if you’re looking to lean towards speech, the Deacon Dark build is heftiest one you can make.

Lacks Charisma? Get out more. There’s so much to do in and around the main story, but if you don’t want to rely on being big and bullies in the main story, better to pump up that Charisma. Even occasional use of the Calming utility can tip a fight your way by leaving enemies confused or questioning their intentions. If you’re just not feeling it, there are builds out there based on the other skills and perks have a very cheery twist.

Whether you’re wanting to play a stealthy character, a melee berserker, or tank anything and everything in your suit of Power Armor, these are often heralded as the strongest builds throughout Fallout fandom.

The Walking Tank

Builds that rely on being heavily armoured seem fitting in this radiated wasteland, so it’s no surprise that this build is so powerful. The Walking Tank is similar to the first build but adds a few more weapons and offers more character customisation. For this build, level 40+ and have tons of skill points to play with before taking the Defensive Tanks build, and you need at least two of the following movement-related perks: Steadfast, Walking Tall, Sturdy Steel, and Steeled Flesh.

The Stealth Ninja

We’re back to stealth, but this time you’re a ninja – and like most ninjas, you fight with melee weapons. You sneak up on them, stab them with a blade, walk away without a sound, and repeat. Simple. As we just discussed with the melee build, it’s not for everyone, so this version uses either a semi-automatic rifle or a full auto outfitted with a suppressor to get stealth kills. Oh, and don’t think we’ve forgotten melee fighters – one-handed melee weapons have infinite value in Fallout 4’s radiation-laden world, owing to their durability.

The Death Incarnate

The Death Incarnate build works in V.A.T.S. It uses V.A.T.S. to its full potential. This build is all about landing as many critical hits as possible, taking advantage of critical head shots, Rad-X drugs, and buffs to make the V.A.T.S. accuracy formula work for you.

The Human Deathclaw

The Human Deathclaw is one of the first Fallout 4 builds we ever saw. It is built around using the Deathclaw Gauntlet and stealth to get close enough to enemies to trigger Blitz, which then grants you huge damage bonuses with melee weapons and can allow you to one-hit some mid-level enemies fully kitted out in Power Armor. You’re also pretty much undetectable at this speed, so it’s very handy for clearing out enemy bases.

The Tinkerer

Again, another build focused on using V.A.T.S. to its full potential, and a true Fallout 4 Speech build can be absolutely game-breaking. The Tinkerer is all about creating absolutely devastating weapons out of scrap, while also giving a significant boost to armour and radiation resistance.

The Herbalist

There’s a reason why some players simply don’t bother exploring the Fallout 4 chems because they don’t want to deal with their character becoming dependent on them. If you don’t want your character making regular visits to the Nightwood Pharmacy, consider this Fallout 4 Herbalist build as an alternative.

The Shotgun Specialist

At first, shotguns might seem like a silly choice, but remember that the Bash perk, combined with Calming and other Speech perks, is able to convince most opponents to fight to the death in a one-on-one with you. Basically, the Deliverer pistol can drop them better.
