The Genshin Impact community has been plagued by cheaters ever since the open-world game’s launch, which has ruined the co-op experience and made it difficult for honest players to compete. Thankfully, developer YYG is taking decisive action to address the problem, as they’ve just announced that they’re taking legal action against cheaters.
Genshin Impact devs fight back against cheaters
“We want to be clear that we are committed to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment,” the devs say. “Cheating negatively impacts the gameplay experience of those playing Genshin Impact and ruins the competitive nature of the game.”
Players have been using a variety of plug-ins to manipulate the game, giving them unfair advantages and ruining the core gameplay for others. Though YYG has already been banning cheaters as fast as possible, it looks like the devs are now ready to take legal action against them.
“We will be taking legal actions against both cheat makers and players who have been found guilty of using the plug-in,” the devs say. “We will continue to take decisive action against cheats to protect the integrity of the game.”
I’m always a big fan of developers who fight back against cheaters, as it sends a strong message that they won’t tolerate any kind of hacking or game-breaking behaviour.
Genshin Impact has been one of the biggest success stories of the year, and it’s also become a hotspot for cheaters looking to exploit the game’s mechanics. Thankfully, YYG is listening to the community and taking decisive action to protect its game.
If you’re a regular Genshin Impact player, I’m sure you’ve noticed the cheating problem. Thankfully, it looks like it’s on its way to being fixed, as legal action is on the horizon.
Entire Genshin Impact servers have been infested by cheaters, which has understandably left many players frustrated. Thankfully, the devs are finally listening to player feedback and taking decisive action to ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for all.
