Pokemon Go Adventure Week details
The main event in Pokemon Go Adventure Week is the opportunity to encounter Fossil Pokemon, namely Amaura, Tyrunt, and Aerodactyl. Since these Pokemon have only been available in Pokemon Go as Raid Bosses, this marks their first opportunity to be caught in the wild in Niantic’s augmented reality game.
Not only will you have a chance to catch Fossil Pokemon, but Trainers can also expect to find specific event Pokemon in the wild during Adventure Week. If you’re lucky, Amaura and Tyrunt will have a chance to be Shiny for the first time in Pokemon Go.
Furthermore, Adventure Week introduces specific Pokemon that can be hatched from 7 km Eggs during this period. Both Tyrunt and Amaura hatched from these Eggs have an increased chance of being Shiny.
Another event-specific change is the introduction of specific Raid Bosses. Regidrago and Mega Tyranitar are new additions, so you’ll have a chance to take on these new Raid Bosses while they’re available.
Finally, Trainers are encouraged to take advantage of these Raid Pokemon while available by completing Event Field Research tasks. These prompt you to encounter event-themed Pokemon, such as Omastar, Kabutops, Cradily, Armaldo, Tyrunt, and Amaura.
There are also new Free and Paid Timed Research paths available during Adventure Week, providing you with rewards and encounters. The Adventure Week Collection Challenge rewards you with Stardust and has you encounter Amaura and Tyrunt.
