The Pokemon Go Noxious Swamp event: catch Jangmo-O and more!

The Pokemon Go Noxious Swamp event is the latest worldwide event in the game, and it coincides with Pokemon Go Fest 2023: New York City. The Noxious Swamp event lasts for four days, from August 19 to August 22, and it offers three in-game bonuses for all players.

The Noxious Swamp event is just one of many global events in Pokemon Go, and it’s one of the few events that has a direct correlation to Pokemon Go Fest. As such, we’re expecting the rewards for the Noxious Swamp event to be similar to those seen during last year’s event.

Noxious Swamp event timing and details

The Noxious Swamp event starts at 9:00 a.m. EDT on August 19 and ends at the same time on August 22. Here are the details for the Noxious Swamp event:

In addition to these three in-game bonuses, there are also the usual Timed Research tasks that focus on participating in Pokemon Go Raids, and the rewards will be Pokemon encounters, including Jangmo-O.

You’ll also have the opportunity to complete Field Research Tasks that offer encounters with six different Pokemon, including Jangmo-O. Shiny Skrelp makes its Pokemon Go debut during this event, too, so be on the lookout for that.

There will be increased spawns for the following 11 Pokemon during the event:

There will also be increased spawns for Dragon- and Poison-type Pokemon in the wild, as well as increased Raid spawns for Druddigon and Galarian Weezing.

The Raid Battle lineup will also change, with one-star Raid Bosses including Grimer and Alolan Grimer. Three-star Raid Bosses will include Galarian Weezing and Druddigon. Finally, Shadow Pokemon will appear in Shadow Raids, and the difficulty of the Shadow Raid battles will depend on the Raid tier.

Here are the six Pokemon you can expect to find in Shadow Raids:

As this is a New York City-based event, we anticipate that the in-game bonuses will be similar to those offered in other global events. The event will likely offer the same set of bonuses as previous Noxious Swamp events, with the exception of the increased Raid Boss spawns for the New York City-region exclusive Druddigon and Galarian Weezing.

The Noxious Swamp is officially trending on Twitter right now, so if you want to know more about the event and its features, you’ve come to the right place.
