One particular Pokemon Go player's pursuit of a Tyranitar hundo ends in devastation
One particular Pokemon Go player is left in horror after their attempt to catch one of the game’s most elusive and also most sought-after hundos ends in devastation. It’s a heart-wrenching twist of fate, and you’ll probably be feeling their pain even if you’re not a Tyranitar hundo fan.
We’ve previously covered how difficult it is to catch a Tyranitar hundo in Pokemon Go – but this story hammers that point home. One user on Reddit shares their heartbreaking experience as a Tyranitar hundo slips through their fingers in one of the most heartbreaking Pokemon Go stories ever.
“A few weeks ago I finally got my hands on a Tyranitar hundo,” the user writes. “I had been working on this for months, and I was so excited to have a solid team for the Beast Series.”
Things were going well, the user recounts. They were regularly hundo spawning near them, and they were making steady progress with capturing them. Then, one fateful night, it all went wrong.
“I was out on one of my nightly Tyranitar hunting runs,” the user continues. “I had been keeping a close eye on the radar all night hoping to find one close by. Nothing.”
Eventually, they spot one – and they’re close. Everything is going well, they’re close enough to throw a pokeball, and then it happens. “I threw the ball and watched in horror as the timer counted down and it shook free,” they share.
“My heart sank,” they continue. “I was in shock. I stood there for what felt like forever just staring at my screen. The Tyranitar hundo I spent months trying to get had just slipped through my fingers.”
Not only is this a heartbreaking story in and of itself, but it serves as a reminder of just how difficult it is to catch a Tyranitar hundo. If you’re not prepared, any encounter with one of the most powerful hundos in the game can be your last.
