A Pokemon Go streamer receives an unexpected in-real-life donation
A Pokemon Go streamer is left overjoyed after a fan “stream snipes” him by making an in-real-life (IRL) donation during a livestream. The player, known as landoralpha, is chatting with his viewers about the most recent raid battles when a fan makes a donation in the IRL world – and it leaves the streamer utterly stunned.
“This is the best stream snipe ever,” landoralpha says before realizing that the viewer who donated to him has left their donation box open. “Are you serious?” he continues as he realizes that someone has made a real-life donation to him while he’s streaming. “Oh my god, this is crazy.”
Landoralpha’s reaction is filled with shock, joy, and disbelief and his genuine smile as he looks at his shocked viewers is too cute for words. “I can’t even believe this,” he says as he and his viewers try to come to terms with what has just happened. “This is the cutest stream snipe ever,” he continues, “I love you.”
The streamer is clearly overwhelmed by the fan’s generosity and the fact that it arrived in the form of an IRL donation rather than any of the usual Twitch and YouTube donations. It’s a unique twist on stream sniping that left landoralpha feeling incredibly grateful and touched.
“I want to say thank you so much,” he says after composing himself. “I really appreciate it, I really do.” He then goes on to express his gratitude to his community and his viewers, showing that the fan’s gesture has touched him on a deeply personal level.
“Are you kidding me?” he says at the end of the stream, “That’s so crazy.” The positive atmosphere that the unexpected donation created is contagious, and viewers all over the stream are commenting about how happy and joyous landoralpha’s reaction is, which adds to the uplifting vibe.
Being “stream sniped” with an IRL donation is a pretty incredible experience for any streamer, but for landoralpha and his viewers it was particularly special. Seeing the strong connection between streamers and their communities is a big reason why we’re such big fans of livestreaming, and moments like this one perfectly exemplify that.
