Sea of Stars RPG: A Legit Hit

With Sea of Stars sales soaring to 100,000 over just one day despite being available on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra, you’d be forgiven for thinking this Sabotage Studio RPG is a hit simply because it’s on a subscription service. But you’d be wrong. Very, very wrong. Because Sea of Stars is a legit hit, and its rapid success among players is testament to the hard work and dedication of the Sabotage team.

Despite the rise of the subscription service games, with many big publishers abandoning retail sales and opting instead to push their games through Microsoft and Sony, it’s rare that a game that’s available as part of the subscription package manages to reach such incredible sales milestones. Sea of Stars is a fan favourite, and it’s clear that Sabotage Studio’s talent and creativity has struck a chord among players. It’s not just Game Pass subscribers who are playing Sea of Stars either, with plenty of gamers picking up the game on Steam, and even more subscribing to Xbox Game Pass just to play Sabotage’s hit.

With Sea of Stars being such a success, it’s clear that Sabotage Studio’s talent and dedication has paid off.
