How to grow a Stardew Valley Giant Crop
There are three ways you can grow a Stardew Valley Giant Crop:
However, not all of them can become giant at the same time.
To grow a Giant Crop, follow these steps:
First, make sure you have the following:
Giant Crops can grow anytime after the crops finish growing, as long as they are watered. They cannot grow in the Greenhouse, Garden Pots, or on the Island Farm. Additionally, the type of fertilizer you use does not increase the chances of growing Giant Crops.
Each season, prioritize growing one of the three crops to increase the chances of getting giant crops. For example, if you grow Cauliflower, Melon, and Pumpkin in the same season, there’s a higher chance of growing a Giant Cauliflower because it is the only one that can become a Giant Crop.
Giant Crops don’t die at the end of the season, and you can use them as a decorative item on your farm. However, it’s best not to eat them! Fertilizer that improves quality does not increase the chances of growing Giant Crops.
If you're in a rush, you can use Speed-Gro to speed up the growth of Cauliflower, Melons, and Pumpkins. However, it’s important to note that you might still get a regular-sized version of the crop. Iridium Sprinklers are recommended for watering crops, as they cover a larger area.
Giant Crops must be watered using sprinklers, as they cover a large area. Therefore, it’s best to use water-retaining soil that improves crop growth. You can also water crops by hand in a smaller area if you prefer, but you might need multiple sprinklers to cover the 3×3 area.
Patience is key because fully grown crops still have a chance to become Giant Crops. Leaving fully grown Cauliflower, Melons, or Pumpkins in a watered area increases the chances of getting Giant Crops before the end of the season.
