Starfield’s Earth: What We Know So Far

Ready for Starfield’s Earth? That’s the question on a lot of people’s minds right now, as Bethesda’s next big thing hurtles towards its launch window with a promise of unparalleled freedom, over 1000 planets, and a personalized ship. But what really gets people excited about Starfield is the idea of a grand story, where what humanity did to Earth matters just as much as what we do after leaving it.

While most people are just excited to explore space, we have to wonder – will Starfield have Earth? And if it does, what will it look like? The premise of a post-apocalyptic Earth in Starfield is a pretty tantalizing thought. While we have absolutely no idea what Earth will look like if it appears in the game, we do have some hints and interviews that might help shed some light on the subject.

Will Starfield have Earth?

While it seems unlikely that Starfield would feature the entire planet, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a section of Earth somewhere. After all, Bethesda has just announced a Starfield beta and release date, and it’d be such a waste not to let us at least glimpse our home planet.

If we do get to explore Earth, what form will it take? Some may hope for a Fallout-style retro-futuristic approach, but it’s more likely that Starfield’s Earth is post-apocalyptic. And what better way to witness humanity’s impact on the world around us than by visiting our home planet?

What happened to Earth in Starfield?

The Starfield Earth theories are already swirling, and while we have absolutely no idea what happened to our home planet, we do have some ideas based on what we know so far.

A lot of Starfield’s appeal lies in the mystery surrounding Earth. We have absolutely no idea what happened to our home planet, which is the perfect opportunity for Bethesda to explore human nature and the consequences of our actions. We all have our own Earth-shattering scenarios, with some hopeful that humanity will be long gone by the time the game takes place.

Starfield’s Earth theories

In the same way that Fallout’s retro-futuristic take on America sparked a fascination with a post-apocalypse, we can expect Starfield’s Earth to have its own appeal. After all, with theories swirling about what happened to Earth, we can only imagine how excited people will be to uncover the truth and witness the impacts of our actions firsthand.

While space is a major aspect of Starfield, its focus on humanity’s journey makes the inclusion of Earth all the more significant. Sure, exploring the universe is the main attraction, but the core of Starfield lies in humanity’s journey, and that alone makes Earth’s role all the more important.

Of course, the absence of intelligent alien life may disappoint some, but the focus on humanity’s story and the exploration of our first home resonates with gamers. The opportunity to delve into Starfield’s mysteries with boots on the ground and witness Earth’s transformation first-hand is a source of excitement for gamers.

If we do get to explore Starfield’s Earth, we can expect a very different type of experience to that offered by other post-apocalyptic games. While the Fallout series offers a retro-futuristic take on Earth, we can expect Starfield’s version to be a little more natural and realistic.

Starfield is all about the grand story and what humanity did to Earth matters just as much as what we do after leaving it. In that sense, there’s nothing quite like Starfield, and that’s why everyone is so excited to play it.
