Before the Starfield launch date, rumors persisted that Shirley Curry, also known as Skyrim Grandma, would make an appearance in Bethesda's RPG game. Having gained fame through her numerous Skyrim "Let's Play" videos, Curry has become one of the most well-known NPCs in gaming history. With Bethesda confirming that Curry would appear in The Elder Scrolls 6, fans wondered if she would also feature in Starfield.
However, Curry herself has commented in a recent video's comment section, stating that the references to her in Starfield were made without her knowledge or input. She clarifies that she will not be appearing as an NPC in the game, and she expresses a lack of excitement towards playing Starfield.
Disappointment and Lack of Interest
"Honestly, it's been so long since TES 6, I thought it was never even going to come out," Curry shared in a recent video. "And then you know, doing all these different playthroughs of Skyrim, well, I got so annoyed with Skyrim because I literally did so many different stories and things. I was like 'ugh, I feel like I'm running out of material with this game.' So yeah, I'm not really excited about Starfield. I might not even play it until it comes out and I can see what it's like."
Curry also responded to another commenter on the video, saying, "But no, they didn't contact me at all, they didn't do anything with me. I have no interest (in playing Starfield)." Unfortunately for fans, it seems that Curry's role in Starfield is nonexistent.
While The Elder Scrolls 6 is still a long way off, Bethesda's current focus lies with Starfield. Curry's comments serve as a reminder to fans to explore other gaming options and express their frustrations until the highly anticipated sequel arrives.
Despite not appearing in Starfield, fans can take solace in the fact that due to Bethesda's partnership with Sony, Curry will likely feature in The Elder Scrolls 6. Until then, players can stay updated with Skyrim Grandma, aka Shirley Curry, and delve back into the world of Skyrim. Happy gaming!
