Starfield Release Date and Fan Hype

The Starfield release date is almost here, and the hype is at fever pitch among Bethesda fans. With both The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 on the horizon, many are looking forward to Starfield more than any other game, and various comments across Reddit and social media illustrate just how much excitement and anticipation there is for the space RPG.

Some fans are expressing their gratitude to those willing to buy Starfield at launch and reporting any bugs they find in the Bethesda game to help improve it for future players on day one. Others, however, point out that since Starfield is available on Game Pass, there’s little real risk in trying it out on release day, so there’s no reason to wait.

Some Starfield fans are also expressing their hope for bugs and even Starfield multiplayer exploits in Bethesda’s game. While many see such issues as a sign of a poorly made game, others cite enjoyable experiences with similar problems in other games, such as Fallout 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2, and suggest that they would be happy to encounter similar issues in Starfield.

“I’m ready for Starfield,” one user writes. “I’ve been waiting for it for so long. I was waiting for it back when I was in middle school, but I’m ready now. I’m excited for it. It’s one of the few exciting things to look forward to nowadays.”

“I like Bethesda,” another comments. “I’m a purist. I only play finished, well-made games. If a game isn’t complete, there are too many things that can go wrong. I have never finished a Bethesda game because they are incomplete.”

“I have literally never heard someone say they played a Bethesda game, and they said it was good,” the same user continues. “I’ve played a few and they were awful. Fallout 4 was awful, Skyrim was awful, Oblivion was awful.”

Another user defends Bethesda, however, noting that the company’s acquisition by Microsoft may have led to Fallout 76’s problems. “I hope Bethesda is able to get back on track,” the commenter adds, “but I am not holding my breath.” This prompts a reply from another user firing back, “Why don’t you wait a year after release then?”

“The Elder Scrolls 6 is the real game people are waiting for,” another adds. “The only reason why people are hyped for Starfield is because there is no TES6.”

Several users engage in a discussion about the release date of ‘The Elder Scrolls 6,’ with one user jokingly implying, “I hope I’m still alive when it comes out.” Another replies, “I hope I’m not,” to which the first replies, “You better hope TES6 is released in your lifetime,” to which the second replies, “I hope it’s not.”

Another user mentions their interest in buying an Xbox specifically to play Starfield if the reviews are positive.
