A new Street Fighter 6 mod finally gives Juri some shoes, putting an end to the fighting game’s obsession with her feet.
The Street Fighter 5 Juri playerbase has exploded thanks to her sadistic nature, kick-focused combat, and overall edgy style. However, Capcom took it to another level with the Street Fighter 6 Juri, emphasizing her feet in various aspects of the game – something that some fans found amusing, but others found annoying enough to avoid the game altogether.
Now, thanks to a mod by modder MrMorritos3D, those bothered by Juri’s bare feet can enjoy the Street Fighter 6 character in all her Jordan glory. The mod, simply titled “Juri wearing Jordans,” was highlighted in a viral tweet that has since garnered over millions of views and likes.
While the mod is a simple texture swap, it’s still a hilarious concept that highlights just how much Capcom focuses on Juri’s feet in her SF6 design. You can check it out here.
While Juri is known for her feet in Street Fighter 6, she’s been a dominant force in Street Fighter 5 as well thanks to her range, zoning tools, and strong offense. Street Fighter 6 is also much slower than its predecessor, which allows Juri to get more out of her fast-hitting kicks.
Even without the mod, Juri is still a very strong character in Street Fighter 6, at least according to the first Capcom Pro Tour Global Leaderboard.
