Sims 4 Growing Together social system

The Sims 4 Growing Together social system allows Sims to have relationships with other Sims that are influenced by their traits. You’ll be able to build a variety of relationships based on your Sims’ traits, preferences, and characteristics. As a result, your Sims will have unique interactions with each other and shape different family dynamics.

Sims 4 Growing Together trait compatibility

The Sims 4 Growing Together adds additional Like and Dislike categories in order to establish social compatibility. These include Sim’s Characteristics and Conversation Topics. This allows the game to determine your Sims’ compatibility based on their traits.

For example, if you have a Lazy Sim, they might have a high compatibility with a Slob Sim since both like the Slob trait. On the other hand, if they are around an Ambitious Sim, their relationship could drop since Ambitious traits are a dislike for Lazy Sims.

To check your Sims’ compatibility, head to the relationship panel and interact with the Sim. From there, you’ll be able to view their Relationship Menu.

Sims 4 Growing Together trait popups

The Sims 4 Growing Together adds popups during gameplay that allow you to add or swap traits for your Sims. These popups appear randomly and add variability to each Sim’s life experiences. However, you can decline these popups if you want to create your own story for your Sims.

However, these traits can affect your Sims’ compatibility with each other. Each Sim Characteristic has preferred and disliked traits, influencing their compatibility with others. For example, an Ambitionless Sim likes Lazy and Slob traits but dislikes Ambitious traits.
