The Last Ronin game is going to be “goosebump city,” according to TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman.

Last Ronin creator Kevin Eastman praises the upcoming Last Ronin game, calling it “phenomenal” and “goosebump city” in a new video.

Last Ronin is a comic series about the last Ninja Turtle taking on the Foot Clan alone. While a mainstream adaptation was considered, the story was instead turned into a video game by Nickelodeon, with developer Powerhouse Partnership promising a triple-A title instead of a mobile game.

Eastman, who is a living legend in the comic book industry, commends the development team for faithfully recreating elements from the comic book and creating an impressive end result. While it’s still in early development, Eastman’s comments suggest that the game is far enough along to be shown off.

“I haven’t seen much at all,” Eastman says, “but I know they’ve been faithfully recreating elements from the comic book, and that’s all I can ask for!”

While fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can start getting excited about The Last Ronin game, it may be a while before its release – but it certainly sounds like it’ll be worth the wait.
