Xbox announces pizza-scented Ninja Turtle-themed wireless controllers
The Xbox team announces Pizza-scented Ninja Turtle-themed wireless controllers, to help you get in the spirit of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Each controller comes with a scent diffuser shaped like a pizza, giving it the fragrance of a New York-style slice. The team says the scents are “inspired by the film’s setting in New York City,” but fails to mention whether they’re the same toppings as Master Splinter’s favorite pizza.
Each controller comes in four different colors, representing the TMNT brothers. The scents’ longevity is not specified, but pizza smells tend to linger. The Xbox team says that you’ll be able to get your hands on one of these scented controllers by entering a sweepstakes on Twitter, but they’ll also be at the Xbox Gaming Lounge in the Microsoft Experience Center on August 2, where you’ll be able to try them for yourself.
This isn’t the first time Aroma Shooter has introduced scent diffusers for PC gaming hardware. It previously offered scent diffusers for gaming mouse pads and mechanical keyboards, though this is the first time the company has worked with consoles.
While I’m sure the article above is meant to be taken with a grain of salt, I can’t help but mention the possibility of your controller smelling like Mikey’s favorite pizza toppings.
