Riot announces a new Valorant Champions Tour league for China
I’m excited to share a major development for Valorant as we’re adding a fourth Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) league! We’re excited to share that starting in 2024, China will have its own official VCT league, showcasing the country’s top Valorant talent. The move aims to further establish Valorant’s presence in the Chinese esports scene, with high-level competition and intense matches sure to draw significant attention from both players and fans within the local scene.
As Valorant’s popularity in China has continued to rise, it has become a highly competitive title within the Chinese esports landscape. Local teams have proven their prowess both in regional tournaments and in international competition. We believe that a dedicated Chinese VCT league will provide a platform for these teams to continue developing their skills, teamwork, and strategies, ultimately elevating the entire local scene.
