Introducing Sunset, Valorant’s new tropical-themed map!
Several bug fixes and performance improvements.
Adjusted several agents for better balance:
Astra – Passive Serpentine can now be seen on the scoreboard and in the kill feed.
Astra – Passive Serpentine now has a cooldown of 10 seconds when a target can no longer see Astra.
Astra – Adjusted the angle at which Astra’s Acid Trap can be destroyed by abilities.
Astra – Adjusted the visuals of Astra’s Acid Trap to be more visible.
Astra – Increased the cooldown of Astra’s Acid Trap to 30 seconds.
Astra – Reduced the passive damage dealt by Astra’s Acid Trap by 20%.
Astra – Increased the delay before Astra’s Acid Trap can be detonated by enemy agents to 1 second.
Astra – Increased the cooldown of Astra’s Acid Trap by 15 seconds.
Astra – Increased the mana cost of Astra’s Acid Trap by 50%.
Astra – Added a cooldown of 15 seconds to Astra’s Acid Trap.
Skye – Added an additional charge to Skye’s Gravity Well.
Skye – Increased the amount of time that Skye’s Gravity Well can be active by 5 seconds.
Skye – Increased the mana cost of Skye’s Gravity Well by 20%.
Skye – Increased the amount of time before Skye’s Gravity Well loses its charge by 2 seconds.
Skye – Increased the cooldown of Skye’s Gravity Well by 5 seconds.

The Valorant update 7.04 patch notes introduce a new map to Valorant, as well as several agent balance changes. While some characters, like Jett, are getting changes to their abilities, others are receiving more fundamental reworks.
Astra and Skye both have major changes to their kits, with Astra’s passive Serpentine ability getting a cooldown to limit “over-amplification” of the passive. Meanwhile, Skye sees a large change to the amount of time her ultimate can be active for, alongside a cooldown increase for her Gravity Well ability.
Several other agents have also been adjusted for better balance. Riot says the changes will “address some emergent strengths and weaknesses,” so you should see a much more level playing field when the patch drops.
