Apex Legends Season 18 ranked changes
Apex Legends is set to introduce significant changes to its Ranked play system in Season 18, as Respawn Entertainment responds to issues in the current season and aims to improve the overall quality and fairness of the competitive gameplay experience in the popular battle royale game. Apex Legends Season 17 faced several problems that impacted the overall experience for players. The introduction of the new Legend Dizzy exacerbated an already problematic matchmaking system, and the distribution of points throughout the season felt unfair to many players.
Respawn has clearly listened to the community’s feedback and acted accordingly, implementing substantial adjustments that address player concerns. Apex Legends players can anticipate a more refined and rewarding Ranked mode in the upcoming season.

Players can also expect improvements to the in-game reporting tools and tools for reviewing evidence of toxic behaviour. There will also be an increased number of bans handed out for cheating and botting, as well as suspensions for verbal abuse and other unsportsmanlike conduct.
