Baldur’s Gate III: The Beloved RPG Series Returns

The PC Gamer team has traveled to Belgium to get the exclusive on Baldur’s Gate III. Our cover story this month takes you inside the making of the much-anticipated RPG game, traveling to Larian Studios to see exactly how the developers are bringing this beloved gaming series back to life after so long.

We’ve got never-before-seen images, developer commentary, and over 13 hours of hands-on gameplay with Baldur’s Gate III, making this our biggest, most in-depth feature on the game yet – and certainly something no fan of the series can miss.

We’ve got four different covers for this issue, each featuring one of Baldur’s Gate III’s new NPC companions. Astarion, Lae’zel, Shadowheart, and Karlach grace the covers, making them collector’s items for fans.

The World of RuneScape

In addition to the Baldur’s Gate III feature, we take a look at the world of RuneScape, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that has been around for over 22 years. With over 300 million accounts created since its launch in 2001, RuneScape is one of the most successful and beloved games in the industry.

PC Gamer visited Jagex’s headquarters in England to learn more about the game and its new Necromancy expansion. We’ve also got an interview with industry legend and FPS pioneer John Romero, who discusses his life, games, and new autobiography, Doom Guy.

Highly Anticipated Games

We’ve also got hands-on previews of highly anticipated games such as Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Payday 3, Total War: Pharaoh, Alan Wake 2, Mortal Kombat 1, Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Authoritative Game Reviews

We’ve also got authoritative reviews on games like Diablo 4, Mask of the Rose, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, Hrot, Park Beyond, Lego 2K Drive, and Amnesia: The Bunker.

PC Gamer Group Test

And don’t forget the PC Gamer group test, where we rate six of the best gaming headsets on the market. We’ve also got a conclusion to the XCOM 2 diary feature, and a thought-provoking re-install of the classic god game Black & White 2.
