Cyberpunk 2077's Credits Get Even Bigger
The mammoth RPG game, Cyberpunk 2077, has added over 1,600 additional voice actors to its already enormous credits roll. With a total of 6.5K entries and over 5.5K people mentioned, it's a staggering amount of people to thank for their work on the game. In fact, the number of entries in Cyberpunk 2077's credits now surpasses the population of Night City.
CD Projekt Red demonstrated the updated credits, which now include every voice actor that performed in the game, in all languages. This decision to credit all voice actors was made a few months ago, despite the initial announcement only crediting the main cast.
The Importance of Proper Crediting
The issue of proper credits in video games has gained increasing importance in recent years. Developers, such as The Molasses Flood and Atlus, faced backlash for not giving all their workers proper credit. In response to demand, games like The Callisto Protocol and Persona 3 and 4 expanded their credits to include all workers involved.
On the other hand, Second Dinner set an example by adding artist credits for every card in Marvel Snap. This ensured that everyone involved in the game received the recognition they deserved. Proper credits allow players to appreciate the work behind the scenes and highlight the collaborations that bring games to life.
