Fighting Kronosaurus in Dave The Diver
The second-to-last boss fight in Dave The Diver is a nightmare against an enormous, fire-breathing dinosaur called Kronosaurus. If you’re looking for tips to help you get past this difficult fight, we’ve got some answers for you.
Kronosaurus Attacks
Kronosaurus has rapid attacks, high health, and will bite you if you’re not careful. Dodging the monster’s bites and attacks is crucial to surviving this fight, but you also need to save bullets – especially if you still have the gatling gun equipped.
Kronosaurus has a wide range of attacks, including launching boulders, performing a deadly fire laser attack, and launching a shockwave that blows you back and temporarily stuns you. It is important to keep your distance and use your dive ability to avoid damage. The most dangerous attack is being bitten by Kronosaurus’s jaws, as this causes a significant amount of damage.
Strategically using the dive ability and your special weapon is the best way to fight Kronosaurus. The boss also has a shockwave attack that temporarily stuns you, so time your dives and weapon use accordingly.
Dave The Diver Kronosaurus Boss Fight Tips
Use the special weapon dropped during the battle with John Watson. The weapon chest on the left side at the start of the battle contains a weapon upgrade or a new weapon. We recommend opening this right away, as your current weapon might not be suited for this fight.
You can also use the special weapon dropped during the battle with John Watson. This item is the blue missile launcher, and you can use it once every few seconds. It deals significant damage to Kronosaurus, but you need to time its use to stagger Kronosaurus and cancel its attacks. The missile launcher automatically recovers after a few seconds, so don’t worry about conserving it. We recommend using your special weapon whenever you can’t avoid one of Kronosaurus’s attacks, as this will stagger the boss and give you time to breathe.
Find the yellow chest on the left side for a portable oxygen tank or underwater scooter. We don’t recommend opening this chest until you know you won’t need it in the fight against Kronosaurus. If you do manage to defeat the boss, you can choose between returning to the boat immediately or restarting the battle.
If you give up and return to the boat, the time automatically changes to nighttime. If you come back to the fight, Kronosaurus will be harder to damage due to its fiery skin. However, if you manage to defeat it the first time, you can always return to the boat and get some rest with the portable oxygen tank or underwater scooter.
