Looking for the Dave The Diver Tube Corals?

They’re a crucial ingredient in Mima’s quest to open her new restaurant. If you’re having trouble locating these elusive corals, our guide will help you find exactly what you need to finish this task.

The Tube Corals are only available during the story quest “Dive For Mima”, which you’ll reach after progressing through the game. Once you’ve reached Sea People Village, you’ll meet Tenzhin and learn about Mima’s plans. Various quests will help you gain trust with the locals and eventually solve the main issue.

Mima’s Restaurant quest tasks you with finding three Tube Corals for her cooking. While she gives you a good hint about where to look, it’s still easy to get lost or not notice crucial details. Thankfully, our guide will make it a snap to locate exactly what you need, without any guesswork.

Where to find Dave The Diver Tube Corals

Mima suggests finding the Corals near the Whale Bones in Blue Hole Depths. You can dive to a depth of 130 meters or teleport to the village to start the quest. Either way, you’ll want to visit the village or Blue Hole Depths during morning and afternoon dives.

You can’t do nighttime diving until Bancho Sushi is opened, so don’t worry if you’re missing a few collectibles. As far as the quest is concerned, you can only find the Tube Corals while there’s still sunlight. The Tubeworms start blocking the tunnels once it’s dark, preventing you from reaching the required area.

Once you reach the village, you’ll want to head to the tunnel near the Whale Bones. The sea slug enemies can be tough to defeat, but luckily, there’s a shortcut that makes it easier. Make sure you have a UV light equipped or you’re wearing the Sea People Necklace beforehand. Both of these items destroy the Tubeworms, which are blocking the tunnel.
