Want to know how to find Barreleye fish in Dave The Diver? Finding Barreleyes is a challenge reserved for the late game when you start aiding the Sea People. As you progress further and unlock new areas, the number of recipes available at Bancho Sushi will increase significantly.

You’ll need to reach the Sea People Village in Dave The Diver to meet the ruler and start helping out the locals. They’ll task you with retrieving a special key from the Abandoned Cave, granting access to the Glacier Passage. This location contains Barreleye fish, a unique ingredient that can be used to cook the Bancho Sushi’s legendary dish. Here is everything you need to know about finding Barreleye in the Open-world game.

How to Get Barreleye in Dave The Diver

You can start gathering Barreleyes once you reach the Sea People Village. This area is found in the top-middle section of the map, near the Abandoned Cave entrance. If you’re in the bottom section, you can use the portal in the middle to reach the top.

Once you’re in the village, head to the top of the area to reach the Glacier Passage. You can’t head inside just yet, as you don’t have the key to unlock the gate. Instead, swim to the nearby dock and interact with the crate to obtain the quest ‘A Special Request’.

The Sea People ruler will task you with retrieving a special key from the Abandoned Cave. You’ll need to head inside to find it. There are several other optional quests to do first, but once you grab the special key, you’ll be able to enter the Glacier Passage.

Glacier Passage is a multi-room area that’s easy to miss. It’s in the top-middle section of the village, but you can’t enter it if you’re in the bottom section. Thankfully, you can use the portal in the middle to reach the top and enter Glacier Passage.

After you’ve put the fish to sleep, you can simply grab it and bring it back to Bancho Sushi. You can also use your Net Gun to capture multiple at once. Regardless of whether you’re using one or multiple Barreleye, you’ll still get three servings.

In addition to being a unique ingredient, Barreleye can also be used to cook the Bancho Sushi’s legendary dish, Sushi Barreleye. This recipe is available once you start aiming for Three-Star fish in Dave The Diver. Three-Stars are the highest quality and offer additional benefits, so it’s worth your while to start cooking Barreleye Sushi as soon as you can.
