Genshin Impact world quests and Primogems
World quests are a big part of Genshin Impact, and Primogems are the game’s currency. So it’s important that you know how to farm Primogems in world quests. Thankfully, it’s a pretty simple matter in the game’s main hub, Liyue. There are plenty of quests in the region that reward Primogems upon completion, and it won’t take you long to max out your stockpile.
World quests in Genshin Impact take place across the game’s open world. There are plenty of quests in Liyue alone, which is where you’ll be spending most of your time in the free PC game as the Genshin Impact tutorial guides you through the early parts of the game. Some of these quests give you Primogems, so you won’t have to spend any of your hard-earned coins on character pulls.
Genshin Impact world quest Primogem rewards
There are fourteen world quests in Liyue that reward you with Primogems when you complete them. They are:
As you can see, the Archon Quests in Liyue are a great way to stock up on Primogems. The first chapter of Archon Quests consists of three acts, with a generous payout of Primogems at the end of each one. You’ll have to complete simple fetch quests and battle through some small monsters, but it’s well worth it.
World quests teach you about the game’s world and its unfolding stories. Unlike instanced quests, you’ll find that world quests are available to everyone who’s in the same region as you. You’ll also come across a few NPCs who repeat their quests, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to earn more Primogems on repeat.
The Little Game quest is a good early example. It rewards you with 30 Primogems for playing hide-n-seek with a child. Similarly, the “And This Treasure Goes To...” quest gives you 40 Primogems for rescuing a captive scholar.
If you’re short on time and just need a quick quest to complete, then “A Provisional Arrangement” will give you 20 Primogems for delivering a package. “Big Business” is worth 30 Primogems, but you’ll need to retrieve three boxes of invoices which are dotted around the area.
This quest will send you into a spooky forest, where you’ll discover that all the lanterns at the ruins have gone out. This is the “Books In The Woods” quest, and you’ll receive 20 Primogems for searching for a spooky book.
This quest will teach you about the Yaksha, a friendly creature that lives in the mountains. It’s a simple quest where you’ll light lanterns at the ruins to guide the Yaksha back home. This will net you 30 Primogems.
This quest is particularly interesting because it involves the work of an artist, who has been missing for some time. You’ll have to visit a nearby dungeon and defeat a boss to retrieve the artist’s tools, which will reward you with 50 Primogems.
Later on in the game, you’ll be tasked with rebuilding the nine pillars of peace. The “No Restoring This Past Land of Beauty” quest is simple enough, with a reward of 30 Primogems for defeating a boss at the end of the dungeon.
The “Old Tastes Die Hard” quest is just as simple, rewarding you with 20 Primogems for cooking a dish. All you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions to complete this quick quest.
This quest will teach you how to engage in combat in Genshin Impact. You’ll have to fight off a couple of enemies in order to complete the quest, which will net you 20 Primogems.
This quest involves the construction of a bridge, but there’s some confusion over how many people it can support. You’ll have to find a ruin guard and light a bonfire to create a makeshift bridge, which is worth 30 Primogems.
In this quest, you’ll learn about the Chi of Guyun, a mythical creature said to inhabit the mountains. You’ll have to collect stones, which can be found in various areas across Guyun’s territory. Completing this quest is worth 60 Primogems.
The Tree Who Stands Alone is an interesting quest that’s worth 50 Primogems. You’ll find pieces of a will, which the tree will read to you. This will teach you about the game’s voice acting system.
Treasure Lost, Treasure Found is a lengthy quest that takes place over several acts. You’ll read texts, find jade tablets, and much more. You’ll earn 80 Primogems for completing this multi-part quest.
The Yaksha’s Wish is a simple story-focused quest that’s worth 30 Primogems. You’ll light lanterns at the ruins to guide the Yaksha back home.
