The primary location to catch the Mutated Angler is the Pavel Mines cave in Bahari Bay. While you can catch it in other locations, there is currently only one cave fishing spot in the game, and it’s located inside Pavel Mines.

To catch the Mutated Angler, you must first obtain the Fishing Rod and Lantern. Once you do, you can fish in the cave’s pond. The pond is small, so your lure needs to land close to the fish. Use the Lantern to check the water depth and cast your Worm at the shallow end of the pond.
