Guitar Hero fans struggle to find equipment

Searching for a new Guitar Hero controller is a struggle, as the music games have not seen a new entry since 2013. The Guitar Hero Live PS4 re-release wasn’t as fun as the original, as the new version just doesn’t have the same feel. Finding the equipment to play Guitar Hero is a struggle, as controllers and guitar peripherals are scarce and expensive. Some people have found alternatives, like using electric drumkits or playing Rock Band 4, but there’s still a market for the original instruments.

You’d think that with Activision’s acquisition of Guitar Hero rights holder Harmonix, we’d see more Guitar Hero games. Instead, the series has been relegated to yearly remasters of the first three games. Unfortunately, the new guitars don’t work as well as the originals, as they often glitch when playing with the redesigned songs. If you do have a PS4, you can play Guitar Hero 5, Warriors of Rock, and Modern Hits, as they’re on the PlayStation Network.

If you have a guitar controller lying around, it’s likely that it’s either not working or has seen better days. Finding replacements is difficult, as the original equipment isn’t built to last. Luckily, I found a pair of controllers for about £50, but it’s still a big investment for something you may use twice.

There is also a market for Guitar Hero controllers, as people still want to play the game. The original equipment doesn’t work well anymore, but it’s difficult to find unused equipment. I’ve seen controllers and guitars go for a lot of money on eBay, but they’re not worth it – especially if they don’t come with the necessary cables.

Some people think that Guitar Hero was overhyped and oversaturated at one point, and that it’s done and over with. Others believe that Guitar Hero games were similar to other cash grab games with minor improvements. Rock Band was considered superior, as they released new tracks instead of new games. Some people believe this too, but others disagree.

I’m not sure why people burned out on these types of games. Maybe some fans were burned out on Guitar Hero and Rock Band sequels with minor improvements, or maybe it was overhyped. I don’t know. The thing is, there are still people burned out on these types of games, even if I disagree.

I’ve been searching for a Wii guitar controller for Clone Hero, as the normal one doesn’t work on the emulator. This can be challenging and expensive, but it’s worth it for the love of the game.

The journey to get a Wii controller can be frustrating

The journey to get a Wii controller can be frustrating, as they’re not built to last. Finding a Wii guitar is also difficult, as the controllers and equipment are scarce and expensive. If you do have a Wii Guitar Hero game, you can play it, but the search for a controller can be challenging. Some people have found alternatives, like using electric drumkits or playing Rock Band 4.

Another thing is that you can’t transfer songs from previous games to Rock Band 4, which I find odd. This means you have to buy the full version of the song for £1.99 or up to £2.49 if it’s on disc, which is ridiculous. I’m not against DLC, but this is just stingy.

Thankfully, there is a PC game called Clone Hero that is popular among the Guitar Hero community. You can use the Guitar Hero controller on it, which is great. Some people still have their old guitars lying around, which is good. Searching for a Wii guitar controller for Clone Hero can be challenging, but it works and is worth the money.
