Max Payne 3 Sam Lake Mod
A Max Payne 3 mod swaps Max’s character model with a rather accurate recreation of his face model from the first game, bringing a touch of silliness to Rockstar’s dark story. The Sam Lake Mod by Max Payne 3 modder AlexSavvy is an impressive preservation of lip syncing and facial animation, with appropriate changes in appearance and hairstyles throughout the game to reflect the change.
Of course, the Max Payne 3 Sam Lake mod reflects Lake and Payne’s physique from the first game, making Max leaner and more wiry. Outfits have been adjusted to fit the new model as well.
It’s difficult to say what, if anything, would be left for future Max Payne 3 mods if the Sam Lake model isn’t considered. The quality is on par with official DLC, showing the effort put into this project.
Personally, I’m waiting for a mod that dubs cheesy noir monologues and a mythology-based secret society to complete the ideal sequel. That’s how we did it in the old days, after all.
