As such, you’re likely to find it during the tutorial, but it’s still worth exploring later on. There’s one treasure worth a decent amount of Sparklium, and it also has a castaway who is in desperate need of your help.
The Pikmin 4 Hectic Hollows cave is one of the easiest caves in the game. This is because it has a low number of enemies, and it also features many Ice Pikmin, which are essential to gather the treasures in the caves ahead. The cave is rather small, but it provides a great place to practise using Pikmin and Oatchi to defeat enemies. Here’s everything you need to know about the Pikmin 4 Hectic Hollows cave.
Pikmin 4 Hectic Hollows cave
The Pikmin 4 Hectic Hollows cave has five Bulborbs to defeat, including one big one. To make your life easier, gather ten Ice Pikmin before you fight the big one. It drops a Sparklium Shard, which is the treasure in this cave.
As you explore the cave, you’ll notice it’s made up of two levels. The first area has a couple of small caves, one with a blue tin can and a Hydro Jelly. The second area has the main cavern and a hole that leads to the second level.
In the west side of the main cave, you’ll find the Mama Doll Head treasure. However, you can’t grab it just yet, as you need ten Ice Pikmin to get it. To the southwest, you’ll find a room with a Hydro Jelly and an Empty Vase treasure. To grab it, you’ll need ten Ice Pikmin to freeze the water, then rush into the Hydro Jelly as it recovers to quickly kill it.
The second level has only one enemy, the Tusked Blowhog. Rush into it as it recovers to quickly defeat it. Every time you visit the Hectic Hollows cave, it will restock its enemies, so you won’t be able to grind for materials. Instead, run through it as quickly as you can to grab the treasure and get out. Every time you destroy a vase, you’ll get a tiny bit of Sparklium. As such, it’s worth destroying everything you can for extra materials.
The Aspiration-Ritual Pole treasure is in the center of the map, but there’s no way to get it without flying. Instead, jump from the can to the treasure to knock down the Castaway.
