The Pokemon Squishmallow collection just got more adorable with the arrival of two new designs, as Piplup and a winking Pikachu join the lineup. While not everyone is on board with the idea of another Pikachu design, I’m happy to report that both of these Squishmallows are even cuter than the originals, and are absolutely must-haves for any Pokemon collector.
Squishmallows are Pokemon’s adorable and squishy collection, and with the arrival of Piplup and Pikachu, that number has ballooned to 12 designs. While some may question the need for more Pikachu designs, it’s hard to deny the immense popularity of the electric mouse Pokemon.
The first two Squishmallows – Pikachu and Eevee – sold out very quickly, and with subsequent Pokemon designs also selling out fast, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more Squishmallows in the future. With that said, the soulless gaze of Piplup may not be for everyone, but I find the winking Pikachu design even cuter than the first, and a must-have for any Squishmallow collector.
The new Squishmallows are available from the Pokemon Center, but are currently sold out. You can pre-order the new designs for $30 each to secure your spot, but availability is expected to be limited.
