While we’re still months away from finding out what Sony has in store for its next console, the rumors and speculation are keeping us entertained. The PlayStation 5 Pro is allegedly codenamed ‘Project Trinity’, according to a report from LetsGoDigital. This is the same source that provided the first benchmarks for the PS5 Pro, and it’s worth noting that these codenames aren’t officially confirmed.

Release date speculation

The release date for the PS5 Pro will allegedly land sometime in 2023, despite the fact that it was just revealed at GDC. The reasoning is that the console will allegedly be on display at Gamescom, letting the masses get a good look at it.

PS5 Pro Specs

PS5 Pro specs are arguably the most interesting aspect of the console, and despite the fact that we’ve only had one look at it, we’ve already got a pretty good idea of what’s inside.

The PS5 Pro will allegedly be powered by the AMD RYZEN7 8870PX, which is the 8-core, 16-thread successor to the RYZEN7 8700P. This processor features a boost clock of 4.2GHz, and it’s paired with 32GB of AMD-branded DDR5 memory.

The graphics card inside the PS5 Pro is the most interesting part of the package, as it’s rumoured to be a Radeon VII powered GPU. We don’t know much about this GPU yet, but we do know that it’s Radeon VII powered, and this graphics card is said to be the most advanced graphics card on the market.
