You need to complete the initial A Pirate’s Life Tall Tale first before you can take on this Adventure.
The Sunken Pearl Tall Tale starts with you, your crew, and the Black Pearl. Soon, you meet Calypso, who wants to keep the ship forever. To retrieve the ship, you’ll need to follow a trail of wreckage underwater, navigate through a siren citadel, and solve puzzles. Here’s everything you need to know to complete The Sunken Pearl Tall Tale in Sea of Thieves.
How to unlock The Sunken Pearl Tall Tale
To begin The Sunken Pearl Tall Tale, go to the Sea of Thieves map and interact with a blue shell with a pearl in front of it. Your crew will board the Black Pearl and go to the Southwest corner of the map. There, you’ll see a blue light, which marks the starting point for the Tall Tale.
Go underwater and follow the trail of wreckage to find the Sunken Pearl. You’ll also see bubbles along the way that can refill your air supply if you need them.
How to find the Black Pearl
Inside the Black Pearl, you’ll need to navigate through different rooms, moving debris to progress. You can also use the Claw Claw to grab loot and pull yourself toward the next area.
In the room with the bubbling vat, look for a claw covered in blue barnacles. Use the Claw Claw to grab the barnacles and interact with them to obtain a key. This key grants you access to the Captain’s Quarters on the top level of the ship.
Inside the Captain’s Quarters, you’ll find Jack’s Compass. Following it, you swim into a cave.
This underwater cave leads you to the Strange Awakenings section of the Tall Tale. Swim through the underwater cave, hitting a blue plant with your sword to progress. You’ll eventually reach land, but you’re far from safe.
After reaching land, you can either go back to your ship or continue the journey. Your next destination is a large cave with a siren statue. Inside, you face off against enemies.
As usual, you’ll also collect loot, including the Siren Heart. Moving the siren statues’ arms according to the pictures on the wall completes puzzles. Shooting the middle statue fills the room with water, leading to the next siren puzzle.
Defeating enemies and collecting the second Siren Heart allows you to continue. This puzzle is similar to the first one, with the exception that you can stand on the middle pillar to fill the room with water.
Shooting the siren with the conch shell opens the next area. You’re now in the Siren Citadel. The quest begins and you’ll need to retrieve the third journal inside the entrance.
This area is full of puzzles and enemy encounters. As you progress, you’ll see more of these statues.
Eventually, you’ll need to lower a shipwreck using a pulley. This leads to the last siren puzzle and completes the Tall Tale.
