The Sims 4: Vampires - Powers and Weaknesses
Becoming a vampire in The Sims 4: Vampires opens up a whole new world for your Sims to explore, from exploring the bustling world of Delphere to meeting fellow vampires from around the world. But becoming a vampire isn’t just about immortality or avoiding sunlight – your Sims can gain a range of powers and weaknesses to truly define their vampire type.
With five vampire ranks to progress through, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to customise your vampiric Sims. Not only do they look different depending on the rank they’ve reached, but they also have a range of abilities to choose from. This list of The Sims 4 Vampires powers and weaknesses goes into detail on how to unlock them and what they’ll do for your Sims as they progress.
Sims 4 Vampires power and weakness unlock requirements
There are five vampire ranks to progress through: fledgling, minor, prime, master, and grand master. Each rank has four levels that provide power points to spend on vampiric powers, and each of these has different costs and tiers, increasing in strength based on the number of power points you’ve spent on them.
You’re able to choose any of the powers and weaknesses available to you at the current rank you’ve reached. So, for example, if you want your vampire to be a master of mind control, you can choose that even if you’ve chosen a weakness that lowers your mind control ability. Likewise, you’re able to choose any powers from previous ranks as you progress, so you don’t have to commit to using the same set of powers throughout your vampire’s life.
Each rank has five powers, two weaknesses, except for fledgling, which has three weaknesses. Some powers and weaknesses conflict with each other, so choosing one locks out the other. For example, mind control and dampened emotions conflict with each other, so if you choose mind control as a power, you can’t have dampened emotions as a weakness, and vice versa. The list below explains each of the powers, their costs and tiers, and any conflicting weaknesses.
